Basketball Game Preview: Gloucester Dukes vs. Heritage Hurricanes

Gloucester hasn't had much luck against Heritage recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Gloucester Dukes will take on the Heritage Hurricanes at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Gloucester will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up 24 points on Friday, then bounced right back against West Point on Monday. Gloucester walked away with a 74-66 victory over West Point. The Dukes haven't had any issues with the Pointers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, in a tight game that could have gone either way, Heritage made off with a 2-1 victory over Bethel. The two-point effort marked the Hurricanes' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The win made it two in a row for Heritage and bumps their season record up to 11-9. As for Gloucester, their record is now 3-17.

Gloucester came up short against Heritage in their previous meeting back in January, falling 88-83. Can Gloucester avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
