Grayson Christian will face off against the Annapolis Christian Academy Warriors at TBD on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Grayson Christian had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 60-14 win over Cristo Rey Jesuit. The victory was just what Grayson Christian needed coming off of a 50-0 loss in their prior match.
Meanwhile, after only a single point in their last match, Annapolis Christian Academy made sure to put some points up on the board against San Antonio Prep on Saturday. Annapolis Christian Academy was the clear victor by a 50-26 margin over San Antonio Prep. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30-7.
Annapolis Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jacob Segundo out in front who rushed for 70 yards and two touchdowns, and also caught a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Blake Kenyon, who gained 101 total yards and three touchdowns.
Special teams was a major factor in the game for Annapolis Christian Academy, racking up 14 points in total. All those points came courtesy of Cesar Morales: he added 12 points with four field goals.
Grayson Christian now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Annapolis Christian Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.
