Soccer Recap: Churchill Takes a Loss

If Churchill was riding high fresh off their 6-0 takedown of Thurston on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lancers came up short against the Ashland Grizzlies on Saturday, falling 7-1. Churchill were not able to make up for their defeat to Ashland from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Churchill now has a losing record of 5-6-2. As for Ashland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-1-2 record this season.

Coincidentally, Churchill and Ashland will both be playing North Eugene the next time they take the pitch. The Lancers will host the Highlanders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Grizzlies will host them on Thursday.
