Soccer Game Preview: St. Francis Prep vs. Archbishop Molloy

The St. Francis Prep Terriers will challenge the Archbishop Molloy Stanners at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Francis Prep is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

St. Francis Prep's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Sunday. They came out on top against St. Anthony's by a score of 2-0. The victory was all the more spectacular given St. Francis Prep's disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 71st, while St. Anthony's are ranked 18th).

St. Francis Prep was without their leading scorer, Julian Dos santos, in Sunday's match. With Dos santos sitting this one out, Kosta Plioutas got some extra time on the pitch (80 vs. his season average of 43.6).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Archbishop Molloy). They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Monsignor Farrell 3-2. That's two games straight that Archbishop Molloy have won by just one goal.
