Football Recap: Nolan Catholic Starts Season with Loss at Home

Nolan Catholic unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 34-23 to the Grace Prep Lions on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it nine in a row.

Despite the loss, Nolan Catholic still got an impressive performance from Houston Hartung, who threw for 138 yards and three touchdowns. Joseph Irvin handled things on the ground, rushing for 85 yards.

Noah Bonjour had a dynamite game For Grace Prep., rushing for 162 yards and one TD while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. Those 162 rushing yards gave Bonjour a new career-high.

Coming up, Nolan Catholic will challenge Bishop Dunne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Grace Prep, they will face off against Covenant Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
