Basketball Recap: Creekside Christian Academy Has No Trouble Against Glen Iris Baptist

Creekside Christian Academy's tournament run continued when they took on Glen Iris Baptist on Friday. The Cougars took down the Swordsmen 37-19.

Creekside Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Ashley Yefremov, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 15 rebounds. With that strong performance, Yefremov is now averaging an impressive 9 boards per game. Makayla Willis was another key player, putting up eight points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Creekside Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

The victory got Creekside Christian Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Glen Iris Baptist, their loss dropped their record down to 1-2.

Creekside Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 49-45 defeat against Union Grove Christian on the 6th. As for Glen Iris Baptist, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on East Central HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on the 15th.
