Basketball Recap: Ridgewood Comes Up Short

Ridgewood came up into this matchup off a tough 53-point defeat last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Elmwood Park Tigers by a score of 33-31 on Tuesday. The Rebels were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 40-38.

Ridgewood has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Elmwood Park, the win snapped their losing streak at 11 games and leaves them with a 3-16 record.

Ridgewood will challenge West Aurora at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (West Aurora has four straight victories, Ridgewood has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court. As for Elmwood Park, they will face off against Riverside-Brookfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
