Football Recap: Apopka's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Ten

Apopka had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They never let the Mandarin Mustangs get on the board and left with a 27-0 win on Monday. The Blue Darters might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 21 points or more this season.

The victory was the tenth in a row for Apopka, bringing their record up to 15-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.0 points on average over those games. As for Mandarin, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 13-6 record.

Looking ahead, Apopka will welcome Spruce Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hawks will roll in looking for their 18th straight victory, something the Blue Darters surely won't give up without a fight. Mandarin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
