Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Southeast Knights vs. Westview Wolverines

The Lincoln Southeast Knights will face off against the Westview Wolverines at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Lincoln Southeast's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matchups.

It was a classic East v. West duel when Lincoln Southeast took on Lincoln Southwest on Friday. Lincoln Southeast came out on top against Lincoln Southwest by a score of 58-51.

It was another big night for Mike Ngoyi, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards. Those nine rebounds gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Prospedi Mukendi, who posted eight points and 11 rebounds.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Westview). They blew past Bryan 94-38 on Friday. The Wolverines have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 26 points or more this season.

The victory was the third in a row for Westview, bringing their record for this year to 10-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 82.3 points per game. As for Lincoln Southeast, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Everything went Lincoln Southeast's way against Westview when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as Lincoln Southeast made off with a 70-47 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Westview's Tayvin Zephier-Murphy, who went 10 of 16 on his way to 26 points and six rebounds.
