Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Plainview's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

Plainview won the last time they faced Lutheran-Northeast and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Plainview Pirates came out on top against the Lutheran-Northeast Eagles by a score of 60-53.

Lutheran-Northeast's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gavin Feddern, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 15 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Colston Kapels, who went 6 for 12 en route to 17 points.

Plainview has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Lutheran-Northeast, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-8 record.

Coincidentally, Plainview and Lutheran-Northeast will both be playing Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] the next time they take the court. Plainview will head out to face Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Lutheran-Northeast will host them at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th.
