Football Game Recap: Independence vs. Palmer

Their game last Friday wasn't at all kind to Palmer, but their most recent matchup may have softened the blow. They snuck past Independence with a 20-14 victory.

Palmer struggled in the first half and ended with zero points. Independence couldn't get anything started offensively, either, which meant the halftime score sat untouched at 0-0. The offense for Palmer put that tie to bed by coming up with 20 points in the second half to win the game.

Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Palmer take on North Panola at 7:00 PM. North Panola have averaged 45.6 points over the course of their past four games, so Palmer might be in for a challenge. Independence will be staying on the road, facing off against Water Valley. Water Valley have averaged 35.57 points over the course of their past three games, so Independence might be in for a challenge.
