Softball Recap: Franklin Takes a Loss

Franklin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 18-0 to the Catholic - N.I. Panthers. If the Hornets were looking for revenge after losing 27-0 to the Panthers when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Catholic - N.I., their win bumped their record up to 5-9-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin will square off against Gueydan at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gueydan has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.44 runs per game on average), something Franklin will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Catholic - N.I., a feisty cat fight will be fought as Catholic - N.I. Panthers duke it out with Erath Bobcats at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
