Basketball Game Preview: Douglas Tigers vs. Reno Huskies

The Douglas Tigers will head out to face off against the Reno Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Douglas is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.1 points per game this season.

Last Friday, Douglas strolled past Carson with points to spare, taking the game 50-34. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Senators recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Caden Thacker continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 6 for 10 to rack up 18 points and five steals. He has become a key player for Douglas: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least five steals, but 10-11 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jesse Messick, who posted nine points and five rebounds.

Douglas smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in ten consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Reno didn't have too much trouble with McQueen on Friday as they won 56-42.

The victory got Douglas back to even at 12-12. As for Reno, their record now sits at 16-9.

Things could have been worse for Douglas, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 50-34 loss to Reno in their previous matchup back in January. Can Douglas avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
