Baseball Recap: South Point Takes a Loss

South Point lost against Portsmouth back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pointers fell 6-2 to the Trojans. The Pointers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South Point saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kolton Layman, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

South Point's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Portsmouth, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. South Point will challenge rival Fairland at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Portsmouth is set to square off against their familiar foe Rock Hill at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
