Allie McGuire and Piper Graham secure win for Bluegrass United

Recap: Bluegrass United Bluehawks vs. Harrison County Thorobreds

The Bluegrass United Bluehawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 24 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Harrison County on Monday as Bluegrass United made off with a 54-30 victory. Given Bluegrass United's advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while Harrison County is ranked 228th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bluegrass United was led to victory by Allie McGuire and Piper Graham. McGuire scored 18 points along with five rebounds, while Graham scored eight points along with nine assists and nine steals. The matchup was McGuire's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Milbrey Ann Coffman, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Bluegrass United's victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Harrison County, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

Bluegrass United will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Garrard County at 7:30 p.m. on January 11th. As for Harrison County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Madison Southern at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
