Baseball Game Preview: Galion Tigers vs. Pleasant Spartans

For the second straight game, Galion will face off against Pleasant. The Tigers are taking a road trip to face off against the Spartans at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Galion has six straight victories, Pleasant has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Galion had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Pleasant on Tuesday. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Spartans. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won three matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

For Pleasant's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Lowry, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Galion's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Pleasant, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
