Baldwyn had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against the Falkner Eagles on Tuesday as they made off with a 54-31 victory. The Bearcats haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Despite the loss, Falkner still got an impressive performance from Jonah Fisher, who shot 40% from the field on his way to 21 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Gavin Boswell, who posted no points.

Falkner's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Baldwyn will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against North Pontotoc at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th. As for Falkner, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Nettleton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
