North Branford has gone 8-2 against Cromwell recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Thunderbirds will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. North Branford is coming into the match hot, having won their last ten games.

North Branford proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by seven) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Haddam-Killingworth 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Thunderbirds have posted since April 11th.

Meanwhile, Cromwell unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 7-4 to Portland.

Cromwell saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jess Elfreich, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two RBI. Another was Evan Ucol, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

North Branford pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Cromwell, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7-1.

North Branford skirted past Cromwell 4-2 in their previous meeting back in April. Do the Thunderbirds have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
