Basketball Recap: Renaissance Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

Renaissance won the last time they faced Mumford and things went their way on Friday too. The Renaissance Phoenix walked away with a 60-53 victory over the Mumford Mustangs. Given the Phoenix's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the Mustangs are ranked 140th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Renaissance's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points over those games. As for Mumford, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.

Coming up, Renaissance will take on Marian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Marian will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Renaissance surely won't give up without a fight. Mumford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
