Volleyball Recap: Oblong Gets the Win

Oblong won the last time they faced Dieterich and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Panthers walked away with a 2-0 win over the Movin Maroons. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

While Oblong won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-22.

Layla Krick paced Oblong's offense, picking up nine kills. Krick got some help from Brylee Murray and her 11 assists.

Oblong's victory bumped their record up to 28-7. As for Dieterich, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 15 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-20 record this season.

Oblong does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dieterich, they will face off against Hutsonville/Palestine at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
