            Palm Beach Central is  a perfect 10-0 against Leonard since February of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Palm Beach Central Broncos will head out on the road to  take on  the Leonard Lancers  at 6:30  p.m. Leonard took a loss in their last  matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Palm Beach Central, who comes in off a win.
Palm Beach Central took a loss when they played away from home  on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out West Boca Raton  5-4.

 Charlie Houd looked comfortable as he  struck out six batters over  four innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   three  hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive appearances.
 At the plate, Palm Beach Central's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Gabrian Diaz, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-3. That's the most  runs  Diaz has posted since back in April of 2024.  Slade Wayne also deserves some recognition as  he  hit his first  double of the season.
Meanwhile, Leonard was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight  defeat. They lost  17-7 to Somerset Academy - Canyons.
  Shawn Lopez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored two  runs and  stole  Two bases. while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Juan Pablo Llorente, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-2.
 Palm Beach Central has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record  this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. Leonard's loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
 Palm Beach Central took their  victory against Leonard  when the teams last played  back in April of 2023 by a conclusive  17-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Palm Beach Central since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
