Baseball Recap: Northridge Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Northridge and Goshen squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Northridge had to settle for second. They lost 7-1 to the RedHawks. The Raiders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the RedHawks earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Northridge saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Wood, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run.

Northridge has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-13 record this season. As for Goshen, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-13.

Northridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Goshen, they will challenge Penn at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Kingsmen will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something the RedHawks surely won't give up without a fight.
