Basketball Recap: Newark Drops Season-High Score on Dupont

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Newark). They walked away with a 63-54 win over the DuPont Tigers on Friday. The victory was nothing new for the Yellowjackets as they're now sitting on three straight.

Newark's win bumped their record up to 5-10. As for DuPont, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Newark and DuPont could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Delaware Rankings. Newark will square off against William Penn at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday down 38 places (44 vs. 6). Meanwhile, DuPont (ranked 50th) will meet Conrad Science (ranked ninth) at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
