Greenup County gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They never let the Ironton Fighting Tigers get on the board and left with a 6-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Greenup County also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greenup County is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Bath County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ironton, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Gallia Academy at 6:00 p.m. on the 19th.
