Southeastern Local waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They blew past the Waynesville Spartans 14-4. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by ten runs or more this season.

Reese R Wells was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 14 batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Kaylee K Wells was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI and two runs. Another player making a difference was Kami Horner, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Southeastern Local kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in five consecutive games.

Southeastern Local's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Waynesville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Southeastern Local wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 11-4 win against Cedarville on the 21st. As for Waynesville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Talawanda at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
