Hooper Academy is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Monday. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lowndes Academy Rebels at 3:30 p.m. Hooper Academy is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Hooper Academy lost 15-8 to North Bay Haven Academy on Wednesday.

Kaleb Jackson and Jeremy Griggs did some serious damage despite the final result: Jackson scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Griggs scored a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. That's the most runs Jackson has posted since back in February of 2024.

Meanwhile, Lowndes Academy can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game last Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Fort Dale Academy 2-1. The game was the first time the Rebels have beaten the Eagles on their field since March 31, 2017.

Lowndes Academy's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-5. As for Hooper Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.
