Softball Recap: Doddridge County Picks Up Eighth Straight Win on the Road

Doddridge County lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Williamstown, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's game. Doddridge County blew past Williamstown 18-2 on Tuesday. Fans of the Bulldogs have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Doddridge County got a massive performance out of Hadley Ross, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-5. Those three stolen bases gave Ross a new career-high. Isabella Holtz was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

Doddridge County hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in five consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Doddridge County's victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.
