Football Game Preview: Lee Academy Cougars vs. Deer Creek Warriors

The Lee Academy Cougars will head out to take on the Deer Creek Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Deer Creek took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Lee Academy, who comes in off a win.

Lee Academy's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They breezed past Hebron Christian to the tune of 44-0. The Cougars have beaten the Eagles the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Eagles has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Deer Creek ended up a good deal behind Humphreys Academy on Friday and lost 32-14. The matchup marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Although Deer Creek took the loss, they still got scores from Hayden_Smith9 Hayden Smith and Javion Williams.

Even if they lost, Deer Creek's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Carter Hensley, Williams, and Joseph Terry, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Lee Academy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Deer Creek, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.
