There's no place like home for Deer Isle-Stonington, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past the Searsport Vikings 18-11 on Wednesday. With that victory, the Mariners brought their scoring average up to 7.5 runs per game.
Leia Schultz made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed four innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off one hit. Schultz was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her six plate appearances with four runs and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
