Softball Game Preview: Clarenceville Trojans vs. Southfield Christian Eagles

Clarenceville is 1-8 against Southfield Christian since May of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Trojans will venture away from home to take on the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Clarenceville has given up an average of 12.1 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Clarenceville came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Lutheran Northwest, falling 17-0.

Meanwhile, Southfield Christian came up short against Inter-City Baptist on Monday and fell 8-3.

Taniya Hall made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Lexi Hankinson also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Southfield Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Clarenceville, their loss dropped their record down to 6-16.

Clarenceville might still be hurting after the 16-1 defeat they got from Southfield Christian in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
