Poyen had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Thursday. They blew past the Ouachita Warriors 13-1. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Poyen got a massive performance out of Lyza Crutchfield, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Crutchfield has posted since back in April of 2025. Avery Oden was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Poyen always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ouachita only posted an OBP of .238.

Poyen's win bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Ouachita, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Poyen will face off against rival Fordyce at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Ouachita is set to challenge their familiar foe Parkers Chapel at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
