Softball Recap: Breckinridge County Comes Up Short

After flying high against Bullitt Central on Friday, Breckinridge County came back down to earth. The Fighting Tigers came up short against the Hancock County Hornets on Monday, falling 13-6. The Fighting Tigers haven't had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Chloe Adkins was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. Lexi Smiley also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Breckinridge County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-20. As for Hancock County, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Breckinridge County nor Hancock County have any future games scheduled.
