Basketball Recap: Campolindo Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Campolindo, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 62-53 victory over the St. Mary's Rams on Saturday. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rams, too.

Ren Marchetti continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 7 for 17 en route to 20 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Peyton Beld, who posted eight points.

When it comes to explaining why St. Mary's lost, don't look at Jayden Hinkston. Despite the final result, he went 8 of 16 on his way to 19 points. That's the most points Hinkston has posted since back in December of 2024. Jonah Millonida was another key player, putting up eight points and five boards.

Campolindo has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for St. Mary's, they now have a losing record at 11-12.

Campolindo will face off against College Park at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Mary's, they are taking a road trip to challenge Lodi at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
