Soccer Recap: Westwood Comes Up Short

Westwood lost against Buford back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Redhawks fell just short of the Yellow Jackets by a score of 3-2.

Jasmine Simon wasn't going to let Buford walk away unscathed as she scored both of Westwood's goals, bringing her season total up to seven goals.

Westwood dropped their record down to 6-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Buford, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Westwood has already played their next contest, an 8-0 loss against Blythewood on the 4th. As for Buford, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Hartsville on the 4th.
