Softball Recap: Gulf Comes Up Short

Gulf's last matchup with Springstead could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Wednesday. The Buccaneers lost 11-1 to the Eagles. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Buccaneers, who until this contest were averaging 3.12 runs allowed.

Gulf has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season. As for Springstead, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season.

As of now, neither Gulf nor Springstead have any future games scheduled.
