Softball Game Preview: Scranton Knights vs. Scranton Prep Cavaliers

Scranton hasn't had much luck against Scranton Prep recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Knights will face off against the Cavaliers at 4:30 p.m. Scranton has given up an average of 14.5 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Delaware Valley hit Scranton with a five-run fifth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Knights came up short against the Warriors, falling 13-6.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Scranton Prep's offense. They lost 13-0 to Valley View on Friday.

Scranton Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Scranton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Scranton suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to Scranton Prep when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
