Basketball Recap: Fort Lauderdale Takes a Loss

Fort Lauderdale lost against Cooper City back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Flying L's fell 64-60 to the Cowboys. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (58), the Flying L's still had to take the loss.

Cooper City's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adam Gonzalez, who shot 60% from the field on his way to 20 points. Gonzalez's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Corbin Francois, who went 6-for-8 en route to 13 points and seven rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Fort Lauderdale and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for Cooper City, the victory also got them back to even at 3-3.

Looking ahead, Fort Lauderdale will square off against Norland at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Cooper City, they will face off against Everglades at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
