Carlyle had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Father McGivney Catholic on Thursday. The Carlyle Indians/Lady Indians put the hurt on the Father McGivney Catholic Griffins with a sharp 12-1 win. The Indians/Lady Indians not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 30, 2024.

Carlyle got a great performance from Ava Meyer as she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.

At the plate, Avery Eversgerd and Faith Weaver did most of the damage at the plate: Eversgerd scored two runs while going 2-for-2, while Weaver scored two runs while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs Weaver has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sophia Hoffmann, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Carlyle was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Father McGivney Catholic only posted a batting average of .211.

Carlyle now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Father McGivney Catholic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.
