Basketball Recap: Austin Classical Takes a Loss

Austin Classical lost against Cornerstone Christian back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Austin Classical Mustangs were dealt a 77-38 defeat at the hands of the Cornerstone Christian Lions. The Mustangs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-22.

Despite the loss, Austin Classical saw an underclassman step up: freshman Levi Marshall posted 22 points. Marshall's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Boone Foshea, who had nine points.

Austin Classical has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-17 record this season. As for Cornerstone Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 17-6.

As of now, neither Austin Classical nor Cornerstone Christian have any future games scheduled.
