Soccer Game Preview: Irwin County vs. Screven County

The Irwin County Indians will face off against the Screven County Gamecocks on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Irwin County comes in on seven and Screven County on ten.

Irwin County is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Atlanta Classical Academy.

Meanwhile, Screven County narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Lake Oconee Academy 3-2. That's two games straight that Screven County have won by just one goal.

Anna Kate Withrow and Mica Shipes scored all three of Screven County's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 64 goals.

Irwin County's win bumped their record up to 17-1. As for Screven County, their victory bumped their record up to 19-1.
