Basketball Game Preview: Penns Valley Area Rams vs. Huntingdon Bearcats

The Penns Valley Area Rams will head out to face off against the Huntingdon Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Having struggled with six losses in a row dating back to last season, Penns Valley Area turned things around against Central Mountain on Tuesday. They managed a 72-67 win over the Wildcats. The Rams' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Huntingdon on Monday. They strolled past Bellwood-Antis with points to spare, taking the game 65-46.

Huntingdon now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Penns Valley Area, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Penns Valley Area came out on top in a nail-biter against Huntingdon in their previous meeting back in February, sneaking past 60-58. Does Penns Valley Area have another victory up their sleeve, or will Huntingdon turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
