Recap: Dudley Panthers vs. Eastern Guilford Wildcats
The Dudley Panthers put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Eastern Guilford with a sharp 35-10 win. Fans of Dudley have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dudley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Andrew Attmore II, who threw for 328 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt. Nasir Newkirk was another key contributor, picking up 125 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Dudley's win was their tenth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 10-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.4 points per game. As for Eastern Guilford, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dudley will take on West Iredell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Iredell will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 214th, while Dudley is ranked 23rd). As for Eastern Guilford, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Central Davidson at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Central Davidson will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
