Softball Recap: Pendleton Bulldogs vs. Woodmont Wildcats
It was a good run, but Pendleton unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They suffered a rough 14-2 loss at the hands of the Woodmont Wildcats. Pendleton was red-hot at the plate headed into the match (they scored no less than ten runs in the three games prior) but Woodmont's pitchers proved too tough.
Taylor Beak made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with a home run. Laney Jennings was another key contributor, going 1-for-1 with a double and an RBI.
Pendleton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6-1. As for Woodmont, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.
