Recap: Morrill Lions vs. Hemingford Bobcats
In what's become a running theme this season, the Morrill Lions gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They breezed by Hemingford at home to the tune of 60-20. The win was just what Morrill needed coming off of a 65-43 loss in their prior match.
Morrill got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kinzley Hess out in front who scored eight points along with eight assists and six rebounds. Hess hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games. Katelyn Walker was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with two steals.
Morrill's victory bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Hemingford, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Morrill will face off against Bridgeport at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bridgeport will roll in looking for their 20th straight victory, something Morrill surely won't give up without a fight. Hemingford will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Kimball at 5:30 p.m. on February 9th. Hemingford comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
