South Park is 9-1 against Cripple Creek-Victor since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The South Park Burros will head out to challenge the Cripple Creek-Victor Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. South Park is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, South Park lost to Clear Creek on the road by a 50-33 margin. The Burros were down 39-17 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, Cripple Creek-Victor ended up a good deal behind KIPP Denver Collegiate back in December of 2024 and lost 46-31.

South Park will have to contain Trevor Mirande as he made an impact in Cripple Creek-Victor's last game. He dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards. Mirande has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Lohmeier, who posted five points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Even though they lost, Cripple Creek-Victor smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Cripple Creek-Victor now has a losing record at 2-3. As for South Park, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

South Park didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Cripple Creek-Victor in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 35-30 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for South Park since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
