Basketball Recap: St. Thomas More Starts Season with Win on the Road

St. Thomas More had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They snuck past the Campbell County Camels with a 62-57 win on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Cavaliers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Despite the loss, Campbell County still got an impressive performance from Jack Andela, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave Andela a new career-high in boards. Truman Degrange was another key player, putting up ten points and six assists.

St. Thomas More wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 47-35 victory against Buffalo on the 13th. As for Campbell County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 78-60 loss against Century on the 13th.
