Basketball Recap: Eads Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Friday. Eads fell 56-48 to Walsh. Eads' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Eads lost, don't look at Case Nelson. Despite the final result, he posted 15 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists. Nelson is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Adyn Hough, who put up six points along with nine boards and four steals.

Nelson wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Eads was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Eads' loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Walsh, their record now sits at 7-15.

Coming up, Eads will challenge Primero at 6:00 p.m. on March 7th. Primero will roll in looking for their 19th straight win, something Eads surely won't give up without a fight. As for Walsh, they have already played their next contest, a 47-23 defeat against Cheraw on the 1st.
