Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dublin Coffman). They put the hurt on the Dublin Scioto Irish with a sharp 12-2 victory on Friday. The Shamrocks not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since May 20, 2024 (when they won 10-0).

James Baughman tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits.

On the hitting side, Danny Briggs was incredible, firing off two home runs while going 2-for-3. Those home runs marked the first that he has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Drew Walti, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Dublin Coffman always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Dublin Coffman's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Dublin Scioto, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Looking ahead, Dublin Coffman is taking a road trip to take on Dublin Jerome at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Dublin Scioto, they will square off against St. Charles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Irish are facing the Cardinals at the right time seeing as the Cardinals are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
