Recap: Pahokee Blue Devils vs. Dixie County Bears
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Pahokee Blue Devils had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past Dixie County 56-0 at home. Considering Pahokee has won four matchups by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Jenorris Wilcher jr had a dynamite game for Pahokee, rushing for 175 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. Wilcher jr was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 56 yards. Another player making a difference was Hardley Gilmore, who picked up 62 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Pahokee pushed their record up to 6-4 with that win, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 35 points. As for Dixie County, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
Pahokee will head out on the road to face off against Williston at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Williston is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Dixie County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
