Basketball Recap: Noah Bollman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Genesee over Salmon River

Genesee lost against Salmon River back in January of 2016 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Genesee Bulldogs fell 67-56 to the Salmon River Savages. While the Bulldogs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Savages 18-14 in the first quarter.

Genesee lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Noah Bollman, who went 9 for 13 on his way to 19 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Ketcheson, who posted seven points in addition to seven steals and five rebounds.

Even though they lost, Genesee was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Genesee has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Salmon River, they moved to 2-13 with that victory, which also ended their 11-game losing streak.

Genesee will welcome Troy at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th. As for Salmon River, they will face off against Garden Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
